At a recent course that I presented for CTC Travel Agents in Niagara, I urged them to create articles like the following example to promote their travel destinations. This is the “new” digital marketing age and learning to create high-value content online and in under 20 minutes a day, is paramount to your company’s online success.
Here’s the article that I created in front of the group in just 3 1/2 minutes.
For the past few summers, my family and I have been vacationing in Niagara on the Lake. One of the reasons why we decided to do that was for the wine trip. If you love wine, I’m sure this might be the best place on planet Earth to find good wine, Niagara-on-the-Lake.
One Saturday afternoon, we didn’t really know what to do with our time and because I had been a motorcyclist for my entire life I decided that because I had not had a really good low rider motorcycle and we decided to go to the motorcycle store. That very afternoon I found a Suzuki Boulevard brand-new, bought it back to the cottage, loaded up the bike with the supplies that we needed and headed out on our wine trip.
What we found was more than just good wine. We found great people, we loved touring around Niagara-on-the-Lake, we found winery after winery and some amazing food. If you are looking to do a wine trip this year here are some of the things to consider about your wine trip and why Niagara-on-the-Lake might be the travel answer that you’re looking for.
- Niagara-on-the-Lake is perhaps one of the prettiest little towns on planet Earth. It has great shops, excellent restaurants, a few wine stores but I wouldn’t recommend going to Niagara-on-the-lake late for the wine stores because that’s what the wineries are for. However, if you’re looking to spend a beautiful evening walking around the most picturesque town you’ve ever seen you’ve got to go to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
- Within driving distance, there are literally dozens and dozens of fantastic wineries. What people may not realize is that Ontario ranks among the top wine producers in the entire world. If you’re looking for great Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon this is the answer for you there are literally gold-medal-winning wineries within 50 km of Niagara-on-the-Lake you will never run out of wine places to visit.
- What about the kids? Of course, they’re not likely big into wine and if they are then you might have a problem on your hands. What did I do with my 14-year-old? I put him into the Niagara-on-the-Lake sailing camp. He started off in bronze worked his way up to silver and now he’s racing sailboats. Personally I think that it’s a great place for kids to commune with other kids and learn something of extreme value. It helped him build his leadership skills and he had a fantastic time.
In the end, you could choose to go anywhere you want but I think your next choice for a fantastic wine trip is Niagara-on-the-Lake. I sincerely hope that this little story helped you make a decision on that. What I can tell you is that it’s not expensive to go to have a great time, meet some great people, consider the Canadian hospitality if you will for a moment, and get your self and your family in the car and head across the border to Niagara-on-the-Lake, you won’t regret it.
